Pediatrician Dr. Jenny Malcom with Metropolitan Pediatrics has been named as this year's winner of the prestigious John L. Stevenson Award for Excellence in General Pediatrics by Randall Children's Hospital. The award "honors a distinguished community pediatrician delivering the highest quality care, compassion for children and families, as well as a career commitment to teaching and education."
Randall Children's Hospital sponsors this annual award which is presented to one pediatrician in the Portland metro area who exhibits the following qualities: strong advocate for children with innovative, dedicated, proven leadership qualities, clinical expertise, and teacher/mentor. Nominations for the award come from the physician’s peers in the greater Portland area.
Previous John L. Stevenson Award winners from Metropolitan Pediatrics include Dr. Douglas Lincoln, Dr. Laura Dahl, Dr. Erika Meyer, Dr. Richard Barsotti, Dr. Dean Moshofsky, Dr. Deidré Burton, Dr. Karen Lickteig, Dr. Barbara Ferré, and Dr. David Bell.
