Biography

Vicki has always seen the potential in kids, even when others didn’t. She’s worked with kids from all walks of life, from first-time adolescent offenders in the juvenile justice system to at-risk elementary school students and teen parents. In each setting, she’s helped young people overcome challenges, develop their strengths, and reach their full potential. She also learned a great deal from them about the power of hope, resilience, and growth.

Vicki’s passion for helping young people is evident in the way she listens to them, understands them, and supports them. She remembers how it felt to be young, and she can relate to the challenges and uncertainties that young people face. She is always there to offer a listening ear, a helping hand, or a well-timed joke. She lives by the golden rule, treating her clients with the kind of respect and understanding that she wished she’d received from adults when she was younger.

Vicki also admires children’s candid observations of the world, and she loves to laugh and be playful with them. She knows that a little bit of laughter can go a long way in helping kids cope with stress and adversity.

In her personal time, Vicki enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking, and exploring the great outdoors. When she has a bad day, she turns to her two favorite cures: reading and baking. She also loves traveling and sharing new adventures with her husband and teenage son. They’re on a family mission to try a new ziplining course at every destination!
