Care Philosophy

My approach to care is patient-centric, rather than problem-centered, as we are complex individuals with many factors that influence our wellbeing. I build a relationship with a patient and their family to learn what’s important to their wellbeing, so we can address those factors together.”

– Brooke Lowry, PA-C

Biography

Brooke grew up with a primary care provider who was very caring and excited about their job. From their visits together, she learned the true meaning of helping others and was shown kindness, humor, and knowledge that shaped how she wanted to interact with other people in her life, and in her future career. This incredible provider also happened to be a physician assistant.

As a young adult, Brooke worked in behavioral health as a residential counselor and volunteered at a nonprofit clinic during college. These experiences solidified her understanding of how collaboration in healthcare could make such a positive impact on patients’ lives. Ever since then, she’s been invested in relationship-building and teamwork with the whole family to support patient care.

Brooke loves being a PA for so many reasons, but it all comes down to the connections she makes with others – patients, their families, her colleagues, and coworkers. Despite some uniquely hard days in the field, the comradery built on multiple levels is always rewarding. Additionally, watching a young patient develop and reach different milestones throughout their life – from a newborn, to starting kindergarten, and eventually graduating from high school – is something Brooke likes to think is as rewarding to the patient as it is to her. Celebrating these big moments with patients is a highlight experience!

Outside of work, Brooke loves spending quality time with family and friends. She’s into trying new foods and fun activities (from theater to paddleboarding), along with taking advantage of where we live by visiting orchards, going berry picking, and of course hiking the obligatory scenic trails.

Brooke has two amazing kids who keep her laughing and on her toes. She adores watching their personalities develop and is proud and excited to see who they are becoming as they get older. For a little Brooke time, she indulges in DIY home projects, music, good books, and occasionally painting. She also enjoys rekindling old hobbies like playing piano.
