I develop strong relationships with families so that, working together, we can keep kids healthy and happy."– Lori Anderson, MD
What attracted Dr. Anderson to pediatrics was not only her love of children, but also the people she met working in the field. In general, she found everyone – doctors, nurses, and staff – more friendly, patient, easygoing, and happy! They were exactly the type of people Dr. Anderson wanted to be and the kind of individuals she wanted to work alongside. Plus, kids are amazing and so much fun – she’s never looked back!
Hands down, the reason Dr. Anderson loves being a pediatrician is working with families. She enjoys seeing children and parents grow together. Pediatricians may not save a life every day (some days they do!), but they make a difference every day. And it’s the little things that really matter! As a pediatrician, Dr. Anderson is delighted to have the opportunity to reassure parents and offer peace of mind, encourage healthier lifestyles that may change a child’s future, and become a confidant to teens facing challenging situations.
Growing up among a bunch of cornfields in the Midwest, Dr. Anderson has a hard time sitting still. With two active kids and a husband, she rarely has time to stop moving anyway! At home, you may find Dr. Anderson happily engaged in a conversation about dinosaurs, Legos, or kitties, but she suspects these interests will change as her kids grow older. Dinos and kitties aside, she’s passionate about teaching her kids to lead a healthy life and feels very fortunate to be able to have both a wonderful career and family!
"We love metropolitan pediatrics! My kids see Dr. Anderson and we love her. She is so good with the kids and patient with me when I have somewhat silly concerns. I completely trust her judgement and recommendations for our children. On the rare occasions she has not been available when we needed an acute visit over the years we have seen many of the other providers and there isn’t a single one I wouldn’t recommend to families looking for a pediatrician. My little guy was in for a well child check just recently and I mentioned how sick I was and that I thought I had the flu. I was prepared to ride it out was not going to go to the doctor. She recommended I go in to be seen because she thought it could be pneumonia. Had she not recommended it I wouldn’t have gone to my doctor but I did and sure enough it was pneumonia and I was able to get some antibiotics to help me get better quicker. Thank you Dr. Anderson and metropolitan pediatrics for everything you do for my children and for the support you give to me as a parent!"– Becky R.
"Love how clean and open the waiting room is. Receptionist/medical clerks up front are friendly and i love how they never come across as angry or like they hate being there. Sadly you see that now a days. Here, well you don’t. All smiles.. laughter too..
Dr. Lori Anderson and her staff are amazing.. Dr. Anderson cares for the children. No question is too silly. She can even handle the parents who say what’s on their mind lol 😝. My husband is one of those. I am happy to say Dr. Anderson is my daughters pediatrician.
Metro Pediatrics is amazing and i highly recommend checking them out if you’re looking for a place to take your children. A place you can trust."– Elizabeth D.
