Biography

Throughout high school, Dr. Cooper spent her summers working as a nanny for a family friend. Seeing the two kids grow up over the four years she looked after them was one of the highlights of her high school experience! She and the family never lost touch, and Dr. Cooper always made a point to visit when home from college. They even reunited at her wedding this past fall!

Despite how much Dr. Cooper enjoys being around kids, she almost skipped becoming a pediatrician. While she always planned on going into the medical field, as a college student, she was intimidated by the amount of training it takes to become a doctor. Luckily her family and friends pushed her to apply for medical school and follow her teenage dream of becoming a pediatrician.

During medical school, Dr. Cooper briefly considered pursuing OBGYN as a subspecialty, but kept finding herself drawn to babies once they were born. When it came time to finally choose a specialty, there was no doubt in her mind. She knew she was meant to take care of children and watch them grow up into successful adolescents and adults!

Every day Dr. Cooper looks forward to seeing familiar names on her clinic schedule! Nothing excites her more than building relationships with families and helping kids grow up happy and healthy. As a pediatrician, she values the amount of time, energy, and consideration she’s able to invest in preventive care, ensuring that children lead healthy lives and later become healthy adults.

Whenever Dr. Cooper can steal away for a vacation, you’ll find her and husband Andy somewhere up the interstate. This road trip-loving couple already has many shared trips under their seatbelts. A few months after they first met, they spent a week driving from Indiana to Colorado, then Arizona and back. A couple years later, they ventured to New York, up to Montreal, and back to Ohio. For their honeymoon, they cruised around Iceland’s Ring Road. Their latest road trip: the 36-hour trek from Cincinnati to Portland with their three-year-old lab mix, Chance, along for the ride. They’ve since recovered and are now accepting suggestions for their next adventure!
