I am a partner in your child’s healthcare and development. As a parent of two active boys, I enjoy equipping parents with the tools to enjoy parenthood. It is important to me to provide a relaxed, caring environment during each visit. I look forward to taking care of your children."– Edward Hamel, MD
With a desire to help others and a lifelong passion for science and medicine, Dr. Hamel began his journey to become a doctor. During medical school rotations, he tried his hand at several different specialties, but none offered more joy or fun than pediatrics! He also realized that pediatricians have a wonderful opportunity to make a big difference in an individual’s health by helping lay the foundation for healthy habits, which carry into adulthood.
Having been in practice for more than twenty-five years, Dr. Hamel still loves working with kids and families. Helping parents take care of their children and getting-to-know the whole family during the process is such a great pleasure!
Dr. Hamel and his wife have two wonderful sons. Their home is often abuzz with exchanges about the family’s shared interests, which include sports (especially soccer), travel, and hiking. Dr. Hamel still plays soccer! He also bowls in a league, which is easier on the joints. Reading history and doing word puzzles round out the more quiet times.
"Mine and my sisters pediatrician Dr. Hamel is awesome!!! He is now my son’s pediatrician. My son was sick with a bad cold and ear infection and they got him on within a couple hours of me calling. All the staff and doctors there are wonderful."– Ashley M.
