Care Philosophy

The patient always comes first. I believe that showing respect, humility, and empathy are what builds the best patient-physician relationships and leads to the most fruitful outcomes for our children. We all have intrinsic value, no matter your background, appearance, identity, or status. Most people want the same things: love, happiness, acceptance, health. I am here to support your journey toward achieving those.”

– Thomas “TJ” Anderson II, MD

Starting at an early age, Dr. Anderson was drawn to helping others. He spent time in various capacities helping children learn, develop, and grow. When it came time to decide on a specialty, it was only natural for him to pick what he loved doing the most: caring for children and their families.

Since then, Dr. Anderson says every day as a pediatrician has been amazing! He values the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life through caring for them and being kind, thoughtful, and supportive. He even gets to spend a lot of time figuring out how to make technology help patients and their providers! Currently, most of Dr. Anderson’s time at work is administrative, helping the organization grow and care for the families we serve through the efficient use of the electronic health record and technology. It really is the best job he could imagine.

With a tendency to jump in with both feet, Dr. Anderson is known for taking on challenges, both at work and home. He loves learning new skills and creating things using his mind and hands. He’s a self-taught welder, classic car restorer, and construction project DIYer. He’s always up for anything that takes him outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, hiking, boating, camping, and just being in nature. Other cup fillers are playing hockey, shooting hoops with his children, or going on a trail run with his wife and dogs. Most of all, Dr. Anderson enjoys a quiet evening at home with his family, playing games or watching a funny show.

FUN FACT: As an undergraduate, Dr. Anderson suited up as the college mascot during hockey games. He had a ton of fun in that husky costume, making people smile and laugh!
