I believe caring for children works best when families and physicians work together by having honest conversations. Since every child is different, I take the time to listen, understand your family’s values, and create care plans that truly fit your needs.”
– Ravali Ambati, MDArriving in the US from India at just five years old, Dr. Ambati faced the challenge of adjusting to a new world. What made the difference, and ultimately shaped her career, was her own pediatrician. Her doctor’s incredible warmth, empathy, and genuine understanding made her feel completely seen and safe. This experience was a profound lesson in the lasting, positive impact a physician can have on a child’s life, and became the foundation for Dr. Ambati’s dedication to offering that same compassionate, deeply personal care to your family. She knows firsthand the value of a trusted guide, and she’s ready to be yours.
Driven by that early inspiration, she earned her medical degree from NRI Medical College in Andhra Pradesh, India, and completed her pediatric residency in California’s Central Valley. Today, she enthusiastically brings that personal commitment and dedication to providing thoughtful, culturally sensitive care into every interaction. Dr. Ambati doesn’t just treat sniffles and scraped knees; she views herself as a genuine long-term partner in your family’s health journey. She cherishes the incredible privilege of watching her patients grow—from the moment she holds them as infants, through the wild toddler years, all the way up to those sometimes-tricky teen talks. From guiding older kids through crucial mental health discussions and connecting them with resources, to helping a 9-year-old navigate an ADHD diagnosis and celebrating milestones, Dr. Ambati is there for the whole whirlwind adventure of childhood. These opportunities to make a lasting, positive difference in a child’s life are the moments that continually reaffirm her calling to pediatrics.
When Dr. Ambati steps away from the clinic, she embraces life with equal energy and creativity. She’s an avid reader of science fiction, fantasy, and multicultural literature, and loves to explore the world through food, experimenting with global cuisine (especially plant-based dishes) in her own kitchen. She also finds great joy in hands-on art projects like pottery, painting terracotta pots, and creating vision boards. At home, she shares her quiet time (and plenty of naps!) with an energetic, affectionate 3-year-old orange cat who keeps her on her toes. Happiest in the fresh air, Dr. Ambati considers herself a mountain person; her favorite way to fully recharge and unwind is with a scenic weekend hike alongside her husband.
