Care Philosophy

I deeply value compassion, honesty, respect, and building trust in my work with children and their families. I understand that illness can be a challenging and sometimes scary experience. My goal is to create a warm and supportive environment where every child and family feels safe, respected, and understood. I recognize that each family is unique and has different needs and perspectives. I'm dedicated to providing the best possible care and working closely with families to make decisions together. I'm always learning and believe that trust is the foundation of a strong and meaningful relationship between patients and their providers."

Biography

Kelsey always knew she was destined for a life filled with adventure and helping others. As a young girl, she dreamed of becoming a medical provider for kids, someone who could mend scraped knees and chase away fears. This childhood dream blossomed into a lifelong passion for medicine, fueled by a love of learning and a deep desire to make a difference.

A graduate of West Linn High School, where she excelled academically and athletically, Kelsey ventured to Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. There, she immersed herself in the captivating world of sports medicine, broadened her global perspective through study abroad experiences in Fiji and Uganda, and nurtured her love for adventure.

After graduation, Kelsey gained valuable clinical experience as a medical scribe and manager in Spokane, Washington. Driven by her unwavering commitment to children’s well-being, she then embarked on a challenging yet rewarding journey, relocating across the country to attend the physician assistant program at High Point University. While honing her clinical decision-making skills, she also served as the program’s outreach coordinator, inspiring future generations of healthcare professionals.

Kelsey is delighted to be back in her home state of Oregon, where she now dedicates her career to providing compassionate and high-quality care to children. She finds immense joy in building trusting relationships with both patients and their families, and she takes pride in developing personalized treatment plans that address each child’s unique needs. Some of her most rewarding experiences include advocating for a misdiagnosed child to receive the appropriate emergency care and supporting a young adult with diabetes in managing their condition through lifestyle changes.

When she’s not at the clinic, Kelsey embraces the joys of family life. Her two young daughters, her husband, Albus the cat, and Raleigh the dog fill her days with laughter and love. An avid Lego builder, Disney enthusiast, and Taylor Swift fan, Kelsey has a few favorite ways to unwind. She’s also an outdoor enthusiast, drawn to the serenity of waterfalls, the thrill of kayaking, and the freedom of cycling. Whether she’s exploring a new trail, cuddling with her furry companions, or simply savoring a good audiobook, Kelsey finds joy in the little things. But if adventure calls, she’ll answer, boots on and ready to roam!
