Biography

Blake’s journey to becoming a physician assistant wasn’t a straight road—it was more of a scenic, winding adventure fueled by a genuine desire to make a difference. He first landed at Oregon State University as a psychology major, dreaming of a future in therapy. But then, something shifted. He started volunteering with OSU’s IMPACT program, helping kids with disabilities through social and physical activities, and it was a game changer. He saw firsthand the incredible impact he could have on these kids’ lives just through movement and activity, and that spark ignited a whole new direction. He changed course, diving into Kinesiology, and ultimately setting his sights on becoming a PA.

That quest took him all the way to Concordia University Ann Arbor in Michigan for his PA program. While he enjoyed his time there, the Pacific Northwest was calling him home. Blake missed the towering trees and majestic mountains of Oregon, and he’s thrilled to be back, putting his skills to work in acute pediatric care.

What truly lights Blake up is creating positive healthcare experiences for kids. He’s passionate about building trust and comfort from the very first visit, transforming the often-feared doctor’s office into a place of care and support. He believes this early foundation is absolutely vital for preventive medicine, empowering kids to become active participants in their own health journey as they grow.

When he’s not busy caring for patients, you can find Blake exploring the stunning trails of the Columbia River Gorge, strategizing over a board game with friends, or enjoying a lively game of tennis. And at the end of a long day, he always looks forward to heading home to his beloved, laid-back orange cat, Pickles.
