Welcome to Metro Pediatrics!
We’re delighted you’ve chosen us for your child’s care. We promise to provide a warm, supportive, and inclusive environment where every family feels welcome.
Home Sweet Medical Home
We believe every child deserves a strong foundation for lifelong health. That’s why we offer a medical home—a central place for your child’s coordinated care by their trusted primary care provider (PCP).
We’ll provide routine checkups and immunizations, address any illnesses or concerns, and collaborate with you to develop a personalized health plan. We’re here to answer your questions, offer guidance, and navigate any health concerns along the way.

Meet Your Metro Care Team
Primary Care Provider (PCP): Your provider for checkups, illnesses, and preventive care. This could be a pediatrician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant.
Same-Day Provider: Sees you for conditions needing immediate attention (your PCP if available, or another Metro provider).
Medical Assistant: Supports patient care through tasks like taking vitals, assisting with exams and procedures, and giving immunizations.
Behavioral Health Clinician: Assesses and treats mental, emotional, and behavioral concerns in partnership with your PCP.
Lactation Consultant: Helps with nursing and infant nutrition.
Care Manager: Coordinates care for patients with complex medical needs.
Advice Nurse: Answers health questions over the phone and gives guidance on home treatment and next steps for your child’s care.
Patient Services Coordinator: Manages referrals to specialists.
Community Health Worker: Connects families to community resources like housing, transportation, and nutrition assistance.
Patient Access Specialist: Helps you register, schedule appointments, and get the care you need.
Types of Visits
Well-Child Exams: Regular well exams are crucial for your child’s growth and development. These visits include physical and mental health screenings, milestone monitoring, and immunizations. Schedule at least 1-2 months in advance to get your preferred appointment time.
Immunizations: Immunizations are essential to keep your child healthy. We follow the latest guidelines from the AAP, CDC, and AAFP to ensure your child gets the right shots at the right time. We also offer travel vaccinations to keep your family protected wherever you go!
Newborn Visits: Schedule your baby’s first checkup within a week of arrival, followed by visits at 2 weeks, 1 month, and 2 months. We’ll provide expert care for your little one and all the support you need as a new parent.
Office Visits: Office visits are for new health concerns, illnesses, or injuries, or to follow up on ongoing or chronic conditions. You can always book non-urgent visits online, but if you need care today or tomorrow, give us a call. Some Metro locations might have more same-day openings than others, and you’re always welcome at any of our clinics!
Virtual Visits: We offer convenient virtual visits for certain conditions. These visits are perfect for medication checks, busy families, and patients who are unwell and prefer to stay home. Call for a telehealth appointment.
Insurance Coverage
Most health plans cover a range of preventive care services, like well exams and immunizations, at no cost to patients. Keep in mind that coverage for other preventive services can differ, and you may be responsible for some of the costs. To see a list of preventive care services typically covered by most plans, click here.
Well exams don’t address new health concerns, existing medical conditions, or sudden illnesses. Discussing these conditions could lead to additional charges as directed by your health plan. Services that may cost extra include ADHD or asthma checks, treating symptoms of illness, or discussing behavioral concerns. To avoid surprises, check with your insurance provider beforehand to see what’s covered during well-child visits.
Insurance & Billing
Metro Pediatrics accepts most major insurance plans, including Oregon Health Plan. For a complete list of in-network plans, click here. Copays are due at the time of your visit. Our billing team is happy to answer any questions you have at 503-466-1668. It’s important to contact us if you can’t make your payment by the due date, so we can work together on a payment plan. Under the No Surprises Act, patients who are uninsured or not using insurance have the right to receive a “good faith estimate” of their care costs upfront.
