Business Office Manager – Administration (Beaverton)
The Business Office Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all business office operations to ensure profitability and maximization of cash flow while improving patient and customer relations, as well as ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Directing all workflow processes related to billing and collections.
- Collecting, analyzing and presenting data regarding financial position of Metropolitan Pediatrics.
- Supervising business office staff, ensuring adequate staffing and scheduling.
- Monitoring contracts to ensure correct payment and overseeing current status of patient accounts.
- Managing existing patient relations by ensuring good customer service is provided to all patients.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Overseeing business systems in conjunction with the IT department.
- Leading and engaging site staff in implementing quality initiatives with demonstrated improvement in outcomes.
- Working with the Executive Director to negotiate payer contracts.
- Acting as a liaison between provider representatives and Metropolitan Pediatrics.
- Preparing and maintaining the operating budget for the business office.
- Leading and participating in organization-wide projects or committees as assigned.

- Current knowledge of regulatory requirements, insurance billing, collection regulations for clinic.
- Physical and mental ability to perform all billing procedures.
- Physical ability to use computer hardware/software required.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, and a minimum of 3-5 years medical billing experience, or equivalent.
- Vocational training specializing in medical billing helpful.
- 2 – 3 years supervisory experience required.
- Understanding of financial management, business operations, patient care, collection regulations, and coding required.

Certified Medical Assistant – Clackamas
Responsibilities include assisting physicians with patients, administering tests, and performing specified procedures. Incumbents will also enter information into the Electronic Medical Record, and provide relevant information to the patient.
The successful candidate will enjoy interacting with children and their families in a caring manner, pay close attention to detail, and have at least 6-12 months of prior clinical experience.
This position is 34 hours a week with benefits. Work schedule is M, T, Th and F. We offer a competitive wage in a team-oriented, flexible work environment.
